Our History

Starr Material started in 2014 as a virtual customer service office. The only services were travel sales, third-party customer service contracts, and basic remote office work. The remote office grew to over 20 employees and was doing well. After some time, one of the owners went back to school to study graphic design because the type of services being requested were changing. This decision really paid off during the pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the travel industry was shut down and the small businesses were not producing enough work to keep contractors, so we decided to improvise. The company shifted from virtual assistance to a graphic art studio. This change inspired an addition to the name as well to Starr Material Designs (SMD).

Initially, SMD's creative endeavors were focused on crafting custom apparel for individuals. As the market conditions began to rebound, emerging businesses sought SMD's expertise for logo creation, promotional flyers, and more. This surge in demand led SMD to evaluate and expand its business-to-business service offerings.

Our Future

Though we've broadened our horizons with business-to-business offerings, our roots remain intact. We've also beefed up our consumer services. Our aim? To be the go-to graphic design studio for top-notch designs at honest prices. With a tailor-made experience for every client, big or small, we're on track to hit our targets.
